April 29th, 2013 - Bend, OR

BEND, OR — Oregon landscape photographer Stuart L. Gordon will unveil a collection of images from his 2012 and 2013 travels throughout Oregon, Canada and the western United States at first Friday Art Walk on June 7.

Gordon’s photographs will be showcased at Bend Premier Real Estate, 550 NW Franklin Ave. Featured images in the exhibit will be from the wild & scenic portion of the Rogue River; Clayoquot Sound in British Columbia, Canada; the Valley of Fire in the Mojave Desert; Mt. Rainier National Park; Big Sur and the Eastern Sierra Nevada.

Gordon will donate 10 percent of proceeds from sales of his framed and matted prints during the exhibit to the Bethlehem Inn shelter for the homeless. The photographer also raises funds for the Central Oregon Environmental Center through his annual calendar sales featuring images of Central Oregon landscapes.

The images in the exhibit also will be on sale at his website at http://stuart-gordon.artistwebsites.com

Gordon’s work has been on exhibit at past First Friday Art Walks, at juried exhibitions at the Bend-Redmond Airport as well as at the Deschutes County Administration Building. His images were included in a collection of regional photographs in a book entitled Capture Central Oregon. He is a contributor to Getty Images and his limited edition work is represented by Agora Gallery in New York City. One of the images in the upcoming exhibit, “McWay Falls in Sunset Light,” recently was selected as one of several winners in a worldwide photography competition sponsored by PhotoShelter. His work also has been featured in Landscape Photography Magazine and has appeared in 1859 Magazine, a publication focusing on the great state of Oregon.
